Wow. I guess I have just been in the dumps and have made NO posts what-so-ever. But I am back up and running - preparing for the Civil War. As we begin the first thing we will do is look at the differences between the North and South and how the tensions between the two increase!

Thanksgiving
The end of October was a rough time for me and I wanted all of you to know, how much I appreciated your thoughts and prayers. I miss my Mom everyday. Loosing her unexpectedly was hard - but I know she is in no pain now and she is happy. I am THANKFUL for the time I had with her. What are you Thankful for?

Well grades are in. I have to say, grading papers for more then 100+ kids is tough..but more then that - it makes me proud when someone scores really high and then drags me down into the dumps when someone scores really low or doesn't bother to do their work at all. Really, grading is like riding a roller coaster for me.
The good thing about report cards is now it is a new slate - time to start over and get things done! A new nine weeks, new chances, new opportunities and new information. Make the most of a clean slate, there are not many times in your life you get to start all over!

The American Revolution is on!
The Colonies seem to not be able to avoid a full out conflict with Britain. They do try to take steps to try and reach a decision that will benefit everyone, however; King George doesn't agree and they are unable to resolve their problems peacefully ~ the American Revolution is on!
Following is the powerpoint from our class that you can use to finish your foldable on the American Revolution.
